Monthly rainfall data with annual average R factor (MJ mm ha −1 h −1 year −1 )  Rainfall erosivity (R-factor) is a multi-annual average index that measures rainfall kinetic energy and intensity describing the effect of rainfall on sheet and rill erosion. The R-factor is usually computed as the cumulative value of rainfall erosivities referred to “erosive storm events” occurred over a number of years, and it is generally provided at the annual or monthly time scale. Indicator of soil loss (SL) amount (t ha-1 yr-1) Potential soil loss by rainfall-related rill and inter-rill erosion, obtained by Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) approach.
